CANCELLATION of the WIGGINTON CLASSIC CAR & VILLAGE SHOW, for 2008.
This year the show’s committee has decided to focus its efforts on raising funds and applying for a lottery grant to rebuild the Scout Hut in time for the 2009 show. 4th ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR & BIKE SHOW HELD AT BEACONSFIELD FOOTBALL CLUB IN AID OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. Football club is J2 off the M40, 100 yards from the motorway on the Slough side, sign posted “SYCOB” Club. In place by 9.30-10.00am. Show is in the stadium itself, could hold over 500 cars. Show vehicles from 1930 -1970’s Classic American, British, V8’s, hot rods, trikes & motorbikes etc. Live 50’s Rock & Roll bands plus DJ. THE WOKING HOSPICE RALLY, 1.00 pm, Prince William School playing fields on the B382 Old Woking Rd, Maybury, Woking, Surrey, best to be in place by 11.30am to get a good place. Free rally plaque & programme on the day. Must book early as the show is growing in size, well worth a visit, I have been told by club members that this is an exellent show. LEIGHTON BUZZARD RAILWAY, VINTAGE VEHICLE RALLY, entrants are entitled to two free tickets for travel on the their trains on the day of rally. A restored 10RB face shovel demonstrates the loading of a sand train. Arrive before 10am & don’t forget that camera. THE HANWORTH CLASSIC, ‘The Classic’ is part of the long established Hanworth Carnival which will be held as a ‘Village Fete’ in the grounds of the village hall and the adjoining sports fields of the Rectory Meadow, in Park Rd Hanworth.
